Build Better Health | Effective Date: October 2026

Build Better Health ("BBH," "we," "us") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Kentucky. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect and use information.

What We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, professional role, and state when you complete our Get Involved form, sign our petition, or submit a story through Share Your Story. We also collect email addresses when you subscribe to our mailing list. Some of our forms, including the People’s Solidarity Health interest form, are hosted on Google Forms.

How We Use It

We use your information to send organizational updates, event announcements, and advocacy communications. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Story Submissions

Stories submitted through the Share Your Story page may be used in advocacy materials, publications, or public communications. By submitting a story, you consent to BBH using your submission for these purposes. We will not publish your name without your explicit permission.

Stories often include personal or health information, including about mental health. We treat this information as sensitive. Only team members who need to review stories can access them. Before sharing a story, we remove details that could identify you unless you give us permission to include them. You may ask us to withdraw your story at any time by emailing info@buildbetterhealth.org.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted outside services to run our work. These include Action Network and Mailchimp for email, Google (Google Forms and Google Drive) for forms and documents, and Squarespace to host this website. These services have their own privacy policies.

Email Communications

You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message we send.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and analytics tools (including those provided by Squarespace) to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities. Some pages include embedded YouTube videos. YouTube (owned by Google) may set its own cookies when you view or play these videos, under Google’s privacy policy.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove identifying details. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to people who need it for their work with BBH. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

No matter where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Some states, such as California and Kentucky, give residents additional privacy rights under state law. To make a request, contact us at info@buildbetterhealth.org. We will respond within 45 days.
