Build Better Health is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded entirely by people who believe healthcare can work differently. Your contribution supports our efforts. We are working for parity in reimbursement for all providers of mental health services. We are also focused on developing community-governed alternatives to our current systems, to find new ways to deliver healthcare that do not put profit before people. Our organizing now includes providers across all 50 states and our momentum is growing.

All donations support the mission of Build Better Health and are contributed to the general operating fund. The Board of Directors retains sole discretion over the use and allocation of all donated funds.

    Build Better Health, Inc.

    Effective date: July 15, 2026  

    These Terms and Conditions govern donations made to Build Better Health, Inc. (BBH), including gifts designated to support the Mental Health Insurance Reform Task Force (MHIRTF) or the People's Solidarity Fund (PSF), both initiatives of BBH. By making a donation, you agree to the terms below.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By submitting a donation to BBH through our website, mail, or any other channel, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

    2. Tax-Exempt Status

    Build Better Health, Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 41-3199729). Donations are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We recommend consulting a tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your specific gift.

    3. Donation Processing

    Donations are processed through Stripe. BBH does not store full payment card details. By donating, you authorize the charge to the payment method provided, in the amount and frequency you select.

    4. Sustaining Donations

    Donors who choose to give on a recurring basis are known as sustaining donors. If you become a sustaining donor, your payment method will be charged automatically on the schedule you choose (for example, monthly or annually) until you cancel. You may cancel or modify your sustaining donation at any time by contacting us at info@buildbetterhealth.org or through the method described at the time of your gift. Cancellation will take effect before the next scheduled charge, provided the request is received at least 14 business days in advance.

    5. Refund Policy

    All donations to Build Better Health, Inc. are final and non-refundable. Once a donation is processed, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or applied as credit toward a future gift, regardless of the amount or payment method.

    If you believe a charge was made in error, such as a duplicate transaction or an incorrect amount caused by a processing error, please contact us at info@buildbetterhealth.org within 7 days of the charge. We will review such requests individually; a request for a review does not guarantee that an adjustment will be made.

    6. Use of Donations

    Undesignated donations support the general mission and operations of BBH. Donations designated for MHIRTF or PSF will be directed to that initiative, consistent with BBH's mission and applicable law. BBH retains discretion over how designated funds are allocated within the supported initiative if the original purpose becomes unnecessary or impractical.

    7. Donor Information and Privacy

    BBH collects donor information solely to process gifts, issue tax acknowledgments, and communicate about our work. We do not sell donor information and share it only as needed to process a donation, such as with our payment processor.

    8. Acknowledgment and Tax Receipts

    Donors will receive a written acknowledgment of their gift by email or mail. Please retain this acknowledgment for tax purposes. If you have not received an acknowledgment within 3 business days, contact us at info@buildbetterhealth.org.

    9. Modifications to These Terms

    BBH may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version posted at the time of your donation governs that transaction. Continued donations after an update constitute acceptance of the revised terms.

    10. Governing Law

    These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
